v1.52 – Session History and Active Show List

Today I’ve launched some long-awaited features with tons more to come over the next few months. This week, I’ve dropped a new session history and a show list of active and popular shows.

Patch Notes:

Session History is now added to the web control center for all hosts.
• You’ll see a tab called “Session History” that will give you a complete list of all the songs listened to in that session, and you can recall them and listen to them, as well as access their link.
• Accidentally skipping a song by clicking “Next Song” twice can now be undone by going to session history, bringing back the skipped song, and then, after listening to that, bringing back the song you had meant to leave in the queue.
• A Show List has been created on the home page. This list of shows is all live streams that have earned at least $100 on Hit Play and are currently active as a streamer.
• To get on the “Show List” all you need to do is earn a minimum of $100 on Hit Play. Total earnings order the shows, so you can climb the roster by growing your overall earned amount on Hit Play.
Session History
A Session History tab is now available to the right of the main Song Queue in your Control Center.

Selecting the Session History Tab
When toggling the session history tab a new window will appear in the same location as your queue. You can bring any of the songs back to the “Now Playing” section by clicking the small curved arrow next to the submission. You may do this as often as you’d like.

v1.51 – Integrated Skip & Boost for Web Submissions

Today I am launching a wildly popular feature request, and adding a payment system to all web submission rooms. Now everyone can skip or boost regardless if they’ve got the app or not.

Patch Notes:

• Easy-to-use integrated Skip and Boost checkout system added to every web room on the app.
• All Skip and Boost customization will automatically be handled based on your settings (Host Settings found in-app)
• Paypal & On-Page Debit/Credit checkout options (Will accept any debit/credit card even Venmo or CashApp cards)
• Upon approved payment, entries are automatically submitted.
• Unlimited paid entries allowed in line – Only 1 free entry at a time per artist.

Note: Hit Play will not offer refunds for any payments through the web submission system, also any skips or boosts paid for through a web submission system will not be secured or saved by Hit Play, meaning if the Host leaves or Goes Off Air, you can lose your place in line and your payment. In rare cases, we will handle refund disputes between a Host and an Artist, but only in situations where a payment is made and a service is not distributed. Join the app to get more control over your purchases!
New Checkout Flow
A new button will appear if your paid lines are open, this is shown right above the free submit option.
Ex: We have 1 Credit Boost turned off in these examples.

Your custom settings in the app govern what is shown in this area.
PayPal Web 2
On-Page Checkout
Whether a user decides to use the built-in debit/credit flow or the Paypal checkout, they will stay on the page for the whole process. Once a payment is confirmed the submission will be automatically entered.

v1.5 – Web Submissions & Pricing Update

Web Submissions are now Open!
• Hosts can create their own web submission room by going to their dashboard on the web portal and clicking “Customize Room”.
• Artists can submit to your room through a web browser now!
• The web submission portals run inside TikTok, Instagram, Youtube browsers etc.
• Artists can have 1 free submission in the web submission portal at a time (until skips go live)
• Users can see the line/queue on the web.
• Artists who submit using the web submission will not be required to sign up, login, or have a profile. But they are limited on their capabilities.

Pricing Update
After a lot of deliberation and chatting with hosts, we have decided to move away from a commission-based earnings approach to a fee-based one. Hosts will no longer pay a commission for Hit Play. Instead a small fee will be added to checkout of all credits on the platform.
